I am not sure what bug bites I have, but they are all over

Customer Question

Hi, I am not sure what bug bites I have, but they are all over my waistline and buttocks and rib cage, even onto my legs and armpits.
JA: What seems to make the symptoms worse or better? Have you noticed any swelling?
Customer: What makes the bites worse is itching. Anti itch cream helps.
JA: The doctor is ready to answer your dermatology question. Is there anything else you want him to know?
Customer: I am wondering if it is seed tick bites, fleas, chiggers, bed bugs, or oak mites.

Hello, this is Dr. David. I am reviewing your question now and will be with you momentarily.

Expert:  Dr. David replied 4 months ago.

can you upload a clear jpg photo of your bites on your skin?

how old are you?

have you checked your bed and mattress for bed bugs?

do you have animals which go outside which can bring in fleas into the home?

have you been outdoors to the woods or tall grass or beach recently?

Customer: replied 4 months ago.
I am 30. I checked my bed and mattress but don't see any signs of bed bugs. I don't have pets. I was petting a dog yesterday...I was in the woods a week ago and got seed ticks. This morning I woke up with new bites. I'm not able to upload a photo, but the bites range from small red dots to bigger yellowish red bites.

you should go through your clothing and wash all of your clothes in hot water

you could have brought back some ticks in your clothes into your home.

it could be in your bedding or clothing.

you should wash your bedding and sheet as well.

Customer: replied 4 months ago.
I did that once already? Would one washing and drying not be enough?
Expert:  Dr. David replied 4 months ago.

that should be enough

you should see a doctor

you haven't shown me photos

how are you sure they are new bites?

Customer: replied 4 months ago.
I guess I'm not sure they are new but they only started itching today and I didn't have nearly this many a week ago when I first had the seed ticks.
Expert:  Dr. David replied 4 months ago.

they may not be bites

they could be from dry skin

anxiety can cause you to scratch and be itchy.

colder weather can cause dry skin.

Customer: replied 4 months ago.
I know what you mean but these are actually bites.
Expert:  Dr. David replied 4 months ago.

those don't look like bites

they can be from allergic reaction

or blocked skin pores

or dermatitis

Customer: replied 4 months ago.
They are itchy and I haven't changed laundry detergent. I did use a new bar soap, but the reaction didn't occur right after my shower. It was nearly 24 hours later.
Expert:  Dr. David replied 4 months ago.

the new bar soap could have caused these itchy bumps 24 hours later

the new soap could have caused dry skin and that can cause itchy bumps 24 hours later.

I would use hydrocortisone cream on them twice a day

if the skin is dry, I would use a mild moisturizer on the skin.

I bet they will get better in a day or so.
