I have been diagnosed with perioral dermatitis. My doctor

Customer Question

Hi, I have been diagnosed with perioral dermatitis. My doctor prescribed me fucidin, which with my long struggle with perioral dermatitis I have heard many times that this will actually make it worse. Is this true or should I use this cream?I have tried a 3 month cycle of minocyline with no relief. What else can I try? It is getting worse and spreading. It has been active for 3 months now, I struggled with it on and off since middle school (I am now 22- female) with no idea what causes it to come back or go away.

No, this will often help

I agree with this plan especially if you failed minocycline.

Try that for a while and see

Try to minimize harsh exposure like wind, sunlight and cold to the lips
