Customer Question

I'm having a problem with a bump below my hair line in the back of my head. I noticed it 2 days ago and it has grown slightly and is sore, I don't know if it's an insect bite or a hair follicle issue please help.

This is Dr. David

I am sorry you are having a bump below your hairline on the back of the head

this can be a hard area for you to feel and examine yourself

it probably is difficult to even take a photo of the area

it sounds most likely to be a subaceous cyst or ingrown hair follicle

it would be best to see a doctor who can look at that area and tell you for sure what is going on

seeing a doctor face to face, the doctor would be able to feel and look at the area directly.

do you have a doctor you can see?

can you upload a clear jpg photo of the area so I can see what you are feeling?
