How do you treat or cure Dyshidrotic Dermatitis and is there

Customer Question

How do you treat or cure Dyshidrotic Dermatitis and is there a cure for it?

Hello this is Dr. Salama MD,

There is no definitive treament for Dyshidrotic Dermatitis.

There are strategies to prevent it and there are topic treatments such as tacrolimus which can be used to suppress the immune response.

Some recent literature suggests that treatment with lasers and/or phototherapy have shown early success.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

If not, please don't forget to leave a positive rating as that's the only way I get credit for answering your question.

Thank you!

What is tacrolimus and is it sold over the counter. Is it a pill or a cream, ointment or what?
Expert:  Michael Salama replied 4 months ago.

It comes in both ointment and pill form.

It must be prescribed by a physician.
