Spots on Penis Outer Skin: I have 2 spots on my penis skin.

Customer Question

Brown Spots on Penis Outer Skin:
I have 2 brown spots on my penis skin. I remember they originated about 3 years ago and were extremely itchy and i would scratch them all the time. Then later due to excessive scratching they also bled and then after visiting a local dermatologist i applied some creams and the itching stopped.
Lately I have noticed that for the past 1-2 years there has been no itching or disturbance and they feel normal but they seem to have grown by about 20-30% but are still about 4-5mm per spot in diameter. I am attaching a picture.
I have no big moles on my body only small symmetric brown round circles but not too many of those either.
Should I be worried about this? I have a read a lot of terms like melanosis, dyplastic nevi and even skin cancer so am extremely worried. Pls suggest.

Hi,No I do not have any history of skin cancer and no history in my family either. Also I remember this was red and itchy and raised when it aroused but after scratching and bleeding it became darker and flattened. I am also considering they might be warts of some sorts maybe due to HPV?

Thank you for the image and the information provided.

It looks like you have an epidermal nevus . This is a benign condition . However you need to get it checked by a dermatoscopy done at the doctors office which is an investigative non invasive test.

This does not look like an STD nor does it look like a wart or melanoma.

Do let me know if you have any further queries.

Thank you for your response. However, isn't epidermal nevus present at birth? I really think this has developed over the past few years. I am 24 years old.
Expert:  Dr. Pravin replied 7 months ago.

Certain Nevi can develop in adult age.

The Dermatoscopy done would reveal all details of the growth.

I would strongly recommend that you should get it done.
