This is Dr. David

the arm pit is a common area for fungal infections since it can be dark and warm and moist, the perfect place for skin fungus to grow.

skin fungal infections often can be itchy as well.

you shouldn't be using just cortisone cream for more than 1-2 weeks on your own.

you need to see a doctor and use antifungal powders and sprays under your arm to fight under arm moisture and see if that helps

I bet an anti-fungal powder or spray, either over the counter or prescription will help

let me know if you have questions.
