Customer Question

oh, I just had some red itchy blotches show up on my leg last night,
JA: Thanks. Can you give me any more details about your issue?
Customer: I have a photograph, otherwise, they are just four red brown discolorations of the skin - not really bumps on my calf - they cam up last night and the night before One of the itchiest things I've had - I iced my leg so I could sleep
JA: OK got it. Last thing — Dermatologists generally expect a deposit of about $18 to help with your type of question (you only pay if satisfied). Now I'm going to take you to a page to place a secure deposit with JustAnswer. Don't worry, this chat is saved. After that, we will finish helping you.

Recent changes in my life: I moved house last week and reduced the amount of meat I eat - only twice in the last two weeks.

I think there is something strange going on, as I had already uploaded images last night. I just tried uploading again.

Thank you or the additional information.

You are most likely either having prurigo or insect bites.

In either case using topical steroids like OTC hydrocortisone 1% may help. If this does not help then you will likely require stronger topical steroids which are available via prescription from your doctor.

Also, taking OTC antihistamines like Benadryl 25 to 50 mg two times a day may also help with your problem.

Most likely this should go away in a week or two at the most.

If your symptoms persist then I would recommend that you be seen for a course of stronger prescription medications.

Let me know if you have more questions.
