You should apply ice pack and can take over the counter Ibuprofen 3 tabs each with food 3 times daily for pain and swelling control.
You should see your doctor soon for further evaluation.
Oral steroid can be used for resistant cases.
Allopurinol is commonly prescribed to reduce uric acid level to prevent future attacks.
