This is something that happens very commonly in people and this is usually due to a mild infection of the glands in the skin which could be an infection of a sweat gland or the sebaceous gland (those that produce the oil of the skin).
This should go away in a few days time as it heals up.
Meanwhile you can try applying over-the-counter antibiotic cream like polysporin, although this is not absolutely required as the body's immunity will take care of such minor infections.
