Toenail Question I am an avid skier and the big toenails on

Customer Question

Toenail Question
I am an avid skier and the big toenails on both my feet have become unattached from the nail bed. They have been like this for years. I have 2 questions.
1. Is there any way to reattach the nail to the nail bed?
2. If not, what do you suggest I do? It gathers water etc.

Thank you very much for the photo sent .

Do you have history of Diabetes ?

Is any other nail involved apart from the big toe nails ?

What Multivitamins do you take ?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.

I don't have a history of diabetes...? I felt it happened because of the pressure from my ski boots. It turned them black...and it was just my two big toes.

Thank you for your reply.

With the history of black toe nails , there definitely looks like you had a pressure hematoma in the great toe nails.

This has caused onycholysis resulting in the detachment of nail.

Intake of Biotin can strengthen the new nail formation and reducing the pressure on the nails by wearing thicker cotton pads on the nails can prevent this from recurrence.

Sorry for the delayed response.
