I 't believe my scalp produces sebum/oils anymore. I can go

Customer Question

Hi. I don't believe my scalp produces sebum/oils anymore. I can go a week or more without shampooing and my hair never gets greasy. In fact, over the last several years I've noticed my hair becoming much dryer - to the point of brittleness and frequent breakage. Is there anything I can do to correct the situation and improve the condition of my hair?

This is Dr. David

if your hair is dry, you can use a moisturizing shampoo

or not use a shampoo at all. I use Wen hair cleaning products which is not a shampoo so there are no harsh drying surfactants.

it is a leave in hair cleaning conditioner daily and can help improve moisture to your hair. you should try it.

also have your thyroid hormone levels checked which can affect your skin and hair issues.

let me know if you have questions.
