How tall are you? How much do you weigh? Can you attach the photos here? Any medical problem? Any surgeries? Any medications including over-the-counter pills and herbs? Any symptoms such as pain and itching? Are you aware of anything which might have triggered it?
Did your daughter find it after you slept the mid afternoon?
When you touch it, does it hurt?
It seems to be a purpura. Since it is only one purpura, it could be due to weak blood vessels. It would disappear gradually. If you have multiple ones, you should see your doctor to have a blood test to check platelet and a biopsy of the skin.
It would take several weeks. If it lasts for a long time without decreasing in the size, you should see a doctor. You might have pressed your face on the pillow or somewhere on the bed during sleeping.
I think it is possible. Take care.
Another possibility is you could have amyloidosis. But you don't have any other symptoms for it.
I am thinking about you. Another possibility for an easy bruise is leukemia. You will find out if you have it or not from the blood test.
I don't think it will show up on it. Another possibility is ITP (Idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura) that show decrease platelet in the blood test.
