Hi dr Nair I have redness and burning on the head of my penis with some small whitish pimples that itch on the bottom of the head where head meets shaft. What could it be?

I see the irritation.
Is there a blister on top of that?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
It seems like tiny pimples could be blisters. The red irritation was all over the glans and was burning a lot it's much better now after all self medication hard to tell what's working. Was worried it could be an STD. I did get screened few backs and come back clear. Had one blow job and couple weeks later these symptoms started as well as flu like symptoms and cough but that could be a coincidence. I looked at pictures online of genital herpes looked similar.

OK
The bumps should be swabbed for the lab.
Do that today as herpes is possible.
OK, so that is an initial answer….

Yes
Most likely fungal
It should be swabbed, and you should have prescription antifungal meds.
