I have two small red spots one on my forehad which is fading and getting smaller and one on my eyebrow. Today I noticed one on one of my toes. They don't itch and I have had this before and just waited and they disappered. They don't itch. I am just curious what causes these. I don't have them anywhere else on my skin.

Hi,How long have you had these spots for this time?
one week
Okay. Would it be possible to take a photograph of these spots at your convenience?
no. my I don't know how to download photos from my phone or camera!
Okay lets work on this without one then - tell me do these spots become scaly or oozy?Does sunlight seem to make them worse?Do you have any other medical problems and if so have you recently been started on any prescription drugs? Are the spots circular with a clear margin?
no they are not red and scaly or oozing and doesn't have clear circular margin. I have been under extreme stress for past two months and was diagnosised as bi-polar one month ago and started taking medicine for that. But this has occurred before I started these new meds, not often, just occasionally. Could this just be stress related?

Sorry took some time to type it out. Thank you for the information. Yes these could be stress related. They could also be a part of something know as ‘hot flashes’ that can occur in the perimenopausal age group (45-55 years). These are because of hormonal changes in the blood. Rosacea could also be a cause for the facial spots but this would not explain the spot on your toe. Your spots sound harmless overall and I don’t think any treatment or investigations are required presently. However if these spots start coming with increased frequency or distribution then it would be worthwhile to request your doctor for a blood autoimmune profile to rule out something like Lupus. Please feel free to ask if you have any queries. Please remember to only rate my answer when you are satisfied.
