Hi,

Is this rash dry or wet? Does it have raised well defined borders or flat, indistinct ones?

Your rash is suggestive of either fungal (tinea) or yeast (candidiasis) infection and both of these respond quite well to over the counter treatment.

Here is what I would recommend as of now:

1% Clotrimazole cream: Apply over the rash twice a day for 14 days. If the lesions don't look better in 7 days then mix 1% Cortizone cream with the Clotrimazole in a 1:1 ratio and apply.

Tab Claritin 10 mg once or twice a day for 14 days depending on the intensity of the itching.

Zeasorb-AF powder dusted over the area twice a day: noon and early evening. Continue for 4 weeks. Thereafter try and keep the affected areas as clean and dry as possible.

All of the above are available over the counter.

Hope this information is useful, please feel free to ask if you have any queries.
