i have a rash around my belt line and lower stomach near my belly button. it seems to itch on hot days. ive had about a year now. sometimes it gets white and flaky. Any ideas what it is?

Ok no problem. Can you tell me if the rash is spotty? How much area is affected? Is it just under where the belt sits? Is it red or just white?
Mostly white. red around the lower belly button. it starts right at the belt buckle and goes around to both hip area( still on the belt line area)
Ok. It is difficult for me to be certain without seeing a picture but what you describe sounds like an allergy to the belt material itself or to the elastic in the waist band. Allergy testing would determine what exactly you are allergic to, but you can try changing over to a synthetic belt and non-elasticated underwear/ trousers.In addition using petroleum jelly 3-4 times a day and cortisone cream twice a day, should help calm the reaction
