Customer Question

Dear DermDoc,
Well, I went for my f/u appt with the plastic surgeon. He does not feel that the New U by Omnilux would cause hyperpigmentation. He prefers the New U over the clear U as he likes the intensity of the red light on this unit. I will try it again. My rosacea is doing pretty good, but currently I am starting with another cyst right on the very tip of my nose. You really can't see it (thank goodness), but it is very painful and I can feel it. What is the best thing to do when one of the rosacea nasal cyst develop. I know you can't use BP products as that is contraindicated? Any suggestions. By the way, I had Dysport done on the forehead that worked well. I have never used Dysport, usually Botox and I had Restalyn to my lower jaw area that I am happy with as well.

dermdoc19 :

Usually such cysts respond to one of the Tetracyclines or Zithromax. I have begun to use more low dose Acctuane for this sort of problem and have had great success since most of the women are either post-menopausal or have had a hysterectomy.

dermdoc19 :

I think basically the New U is better for anti-aging and the Clear up for acne. and ( probably) rosacea.
