Customer Question

I have a growth "perfectly circular" red mole looking bump that has come up on the right pectoral muscle area. It seems to itch just a little sometimes and I think If I scratch it it would break open and bleed. That has not happened yet.

Problem. I have lost a job (project) with Vanderbilt Medical Center that would have kept me onsite there for a year. Replaced by cheaper working employees. So I have also lost the ability to pay for insurance.

I was wondering if there is a way to post a photo of the bump to see if I am a worry wart...or I need to go see a specialist. I just cannot waste money if I am being over cautious plus I watched on CNBC the other night that Dermatologist that took all those moles off a lady that were "nothing moles" to collect Medicare Medicaid benefits. He got rich and the people suffered.

I know he is an exception. i am just saying there are lots of amazing dermatologist out there I just cannot afford them right now.

Also if anyone can tell me where to get medical treatment that is reasonable for the unemployed that will not bankrupt me if I need it where would I go......Please advise and thank you.

1. Scan I upload a photo here.....of this bump....mole what ever it is on my chest.
2. Where can I get medical help if I need it and cannot afford it. I can biopsy it myself if I have to. Yeah I am tough enough to cut it off myself and butterfly it back. It is about half the size of an pencil eraser and again perfectly circular and red. Your support is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Nothing but I have been to Dermatologists before. I believe the best in our area is Dr. Stanley in Boone, NC. I do not know if he is in practice but studied at Mayo and is a fine man. Saw him several times in High School and College. One of the best doctors I have ever known.

Hi. 1.Please upload a picture of the rash here. You can upload the pictures here using the paperclip like icon in your chat box. If you can't find it (usually if you are browsing via a mobile browser), you can either upload the pictures to photobox or picasa web albums and paste the link here. Alternatively you can email them to experts@justanswer.com with the subject line 'FAO dermatology expert Dr. Sasi Attili'. Please note though that emails might take up to 24 hours to be forwarded to me, though usually it is within a few hours. I shall get back once I receive the photos. Hope to hear from you soon.

2. Depending on what it is, you might be able to use something over the counter to treat the rash. If you need a prescription drug, I am afraid you will have to see a doctor for a prescription. There are online pharmacies available that sell drugs, but they are illegal and cannot be trusted. You would have to risk that if you can;t see a doctor in person. You might be able to take the biopsy yourself, but again you need to pay to send it off to a local lab where a dermatopathologist will have to look at it under the microscope. But please upload a picture first. A biopsy might not be necessary.

Not quite sure where you got the Rash out of my statement. It is what I would call a mole or bump that has grown rather quickly. Not a rash. I am going to get a person to take a solid photo of the mole. I will attach it and upload it as soon as I can. I see the attach icon. I do not know why I did not see that. It seems like there would be on on the initial question area. If there was I did not see it. Will post tomorrow. Thank you for the response sir.
