This answer was rated:

I woke up this morning feeling itchy all over my body. I noticed little bumps in my abdomen, in my left wrist, my right thigh, and in my left elbow. I felt more itchy in the palms of my hands and the soles of my feet. I don't know if it's an allergy or some type of infection. The itch has calmed down but I still don't feel comfortable.

Hello

dermdoc19 :

Can you think of anything you were exposed to? A new soap, moisturizer? Sunscreen? Is there anybody else in the family itching? Any recent travel? Pets?

dermdoc19 :

Would you be able to send a photograph?

Customer:

The only thing I can remember was that I had gone for a run last night. I have not gotten any new soap or sunscreen for that matter.

Customer:

I can send a picture

The first image is from my abdomen, the second is from my arm.

Thank you for the pictures/

dermdoc19 :

Do you have a history of eczema?

Customer:

Not that I am aware of.

dermdoc19 :

This appears to be a contact dermatitis. However, I do note a pustule in the area. Are there other pustules?

dermdoc19 :

I would treat this with Maximum Strength Cortaid Ointment until you can get into see a physician for stronger treatment. Benedryl 25 mg at night and Allegra 60 mg. twice a day will also be helpful.

dermdoc19 :

Happy to answer further questions.

Customer:

Thank you for your response. I actually had to go to the hospital yesterday and it was an allergy. They did give me Benedryl 25 along with other steroids. I appreciate all your help! :)

Thank you for the feed back. Glad they agreed it was an allergic contact.
