Can I have gingivitis if my gums are not swollen or bleeding?

Customer Question

Can I have gingivitis if my gums are not swollen or bleeding? I have used Peridex and other preventative
measures and the slight bleeding stopped.

Hi and sorry for the delay. Bleeding gums are a sign of gingivitis but if that's stopped now and there's no swelling or tenderness then I see no reason for the deep cleaning so long as you continue to brush and floss regularly and use a antiseptic mouthwash
