I am currently unemployed, and need dental work done. I have limited funds I have a tooth right of  the two front front teeth that has cracked. No pain, however, Looks bad will be differcult to get a job with a crack tooth. I need a little help any suggections? No insurance! I was looking for a school that would do work at a low cost. I have not been to a dentist in decades. Teeth in bad shape I would make a good test subject.

Hi,

Thanks for using ' Just Answer ' and i would be glad to assist you.

I am sorry to hear regarding the trouble.

There are few options you could consider. The best option would be to visit a nearby dental school. Most of the dental schools are state funded. More often there charges are always less than the private practitioner. You could get a list of dental schools from :-

http://www.dentalsite.com/dentists/densch.html

Dental schools usually cost you 1/3 the cost you would pay to the private practitioner.

If you might have given me your State, i would have given you the nearby dental school name and address. However, the above link would have the details regarding all the dental schools in U.S.

Besides that you could also look for free medical camps. The list of camps could be taken from :-

http://www.freemedicalcamps.com/

Not only this, there are a couple of well known financial Institutions who might offer you assistance. A couple of reputed financial institutions are :-

http://www.carecredit.com/

http://www.allcarefinance.com/

Most of the dental offices offer carecredit finance.

These are the health credit cards that allows you to make payment over 12 - 18 months with 0% interest for dental related treatments.

As i mentioned most of the dental offices does accept carecredit. Otherwise, the only other option is to call up the dental offices and check for their individual payment policies. Most of the payment policies that they have might now allow you to spread the payment beyond 3 - 4 months. So, i would rather advise you to check the above 2 links and see, if that's helps you.

Any Further Questions, Revert and i would be glad to Answer.

Kindly Accept the Solution,if 100% Satisfied from my response.

I'm in Austin, Texas. The link for the school does not work?

Thanks for your response!!

I searched and found that there are few dental schools in Texas, however it's quite a drive from Austin. The list of 3 Dental schools in Texas :

1. Baylor college of dentistry

http://www.tambcd.edu/

2. University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, Houston

http://www.uthouston.edu/

3. The Dental School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, San Antonio

http://dental.uthscsa.edu/

The closest would be the last one, which i guess would be around couple of hours.

However, when i checked free dental clinics list, there are many available in Austin. Few of them are :

1. City of Austin Dental Clinic

Address - Directions :

RBJ Building
15 Waller Street
Austin, TX, 78702

Ph :(NNN) NNN-NNNNbr/>
2. City of Austin, Community Care Services Department

Address - Directions :

15 Waller Street
5th Floor
Austin, TX, 78702

Ph :(NNN) NNN-NNNNbr/>
There are many dental clinics available in Austin, Texas. Follow the above link i mentioned :

http://www.freemedicalcamps.com/

Click on Texas and then Austin. You would see a list of clinics. Click on specific clinic to get complete address and telephone number.

There is certain eligibility criteria to enroll for these dental clinics which could be explained by the respective clinics.

You could also contact your local component of the ADA ( American Dental Association ) for more community - based guidance for sources of dental care.
