Welcome to Justanswer.I will do my best to answer your question.I am not a great typist,be patient and feel free to ask if anything is unclear. If the swelling is soft and there is a pimple associated with it..and there is any fluid or pus coming from around this swelling, there is most likely an infection and the tooth will need to be extracted. If this swelling is hard and firm.this swelling may actually be the tooth bud that is getting ready to force the baby molar out so that the bicuspid tooth can erupt. If the tooth is loose, sometimes you can manipulate it out yourself because the roots on these teeth resorb from the pressure of the erupting tooth underneath of it.An xray would confirm exactly what is happening and if you can get to your dentist,he would be able to confirm the problem in minutes. Please ask if there are any other questions.
