Thank you for your question and welcome to Just Answer.
Before the days of dissolvable stitches, we had to have the patient return for their removal 5 to 7 days later. So you are probably going to be OK with them coming out at this time. The empty space under the stitches where the tooth roots once occupied should be filled in with a stable blood clot by now and as long as you are careful to not bump the area with a tooth brush or eat hard foods over the area, things should continue to heal uneventfully. However if you notice any bleeding or pain in the area, you should contact your dentist to have the situation evaluated and see if a new stitch is the solution.
I hope this answers your question. If you would like to discuss this further or have any additional questions, please reply to my answer and I will get right back to you.
