Welcome to just answer.

The antibiotics which we usually prescribe for tooth infections is Amoxicillin or Pencillin.
Flagyl(metrondizole) is also given sometimes along with Amoxcillin.

If you happen to be allergic to pencillin than second choice is Erythromycin

Bactrim is used to treat infections such as urinary tract infections, bronchitis, ear infections etc. They are also known to cause various side effects. These are also very powerful antibiotics,so they should be used with caution.

Here the following links that will help you.

Antibiotics alone will not solve your problem, they will only reduce the infection to some extent.Once you stop taking them infection will come back.
The source of infection is the tooth which needs to be treated. So please visit your dentist as soon as possible who can evauate the tooth and find the possible cause for the infection.

Please feel free to ask any futher queries if you have doubts

Thanks
