Customer Question

Second opinion] - hi I just got a call from the lawyer about a case she said, I should've received a subpoena to appear in court tomorrow morning but, I have never received any subpoena, and I am out of town now.
JA: Was this a subpoena for records or to appear and testify?
Customer: What will happen if I can't appear on court tomorrow?
JA: In what state did this occur? And has an attorney been consulted?
Customer: to testify
JA: Anything else you want the lawyer to know before I connect you?
Customer: no lawyer have been contacted since I just checked my voicemail

If you have never been served with a subpoena, you do not have to appear in court. Nothing can happen to you for not showing up if you have never been served. The lawyer's phone call is not service.
