My son had a court appearance and was sentenced to 3 days in

Customer Question

My son had a court appearance and was sentenced to 3 days in jail and a small fine. He didn't go to the jail to serve the time because of medical problems. 4 years later he gets arrested on a bench warrant for failure to appear. After 5 days he still hasn't been arraigned. Is this legal? What does he need to do?

Did he see a judge at all when he was picked up on the warrant? Does he have a court date? A lawyer?
