I'm wondering what would happen if the plaintiff failed to appear to a trial hearing on a violation of domestic. Although the plaintiff was not subpoenaed, There were 2 witness's that were subpoenaed to appear?

Is this a criminal matter? If so, the complainant is not expected to appear unless/until she is subpoenaed. Nothing would happen if she failed to be there.
