Customer Question

My brother received 8 yrs deferred adjudication for indecency with a child. As a condition of his probation he had to serve 10 weekends in the county jail. Since that time, his probation was revoked. He is not at TDC and came up for parole review. He was informed that he should request credit for the weekend time, which equals 30 days off of his sentence. Is this correct and how do we go about getting the time

Hello again --

-

He must have a counselor at TDC that he can speak to about this. All credits for time prior served actually are processed through and come through the TDC and they should be able to implement the time served amount there. Sometimes it can take a while to process it. If he has no definitive answers on this from the people he is dealing with inside the TDC, then you may want to contact his attorney on his behalf and ask the attorney to help file a formal inquiry with the TDC regarding where the time credits are and how they will be implemented.
