I have complied and completed court ordered treatment here

Customer Question

I have complied and completed court ordered treatment here in Arizona. I have lost my firearm rights. Does this mean I can only not have firearms or can I purchase a bb or pellet gun now?

According to Arizona's penal law Section 13-3101A(4):

"Firearm" means any loaded or unloaded handgun, pistol, revolver, rifle, shotgun or other weapon that will expel, is designed to expel or may readily be converted to expel a projectile by the action of an explosive. Firearm does not include a firearm in permanently inoperable condition."

This would mean that a bb or pellet gun, which are air guns, would not be considered a firearm and would be something that a felon could purchase.
