I am sorry to hear about this unfortunate situation.

Unfortunately, expungement of a criminal conviction is simply not available under NY law and the only option is to apply to seal the record, which does not "erase / expunge" the record, but makes it not available to public, however it would still be made available for most government / licensing purposes.
