Hello. My name is ***** ***** I will be glad to help you.
Can you please provide me with more details related to this situation?
Are you asking if the cashier would be committing any crime if the cashier knowingly accepts counterfeit currency with the knowledge of the employer?
Please clarify.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Yes. For instance,if a customer hands the cashier a 20.00 bill but realized it was fake but the she accepted the money anyway. Is that illegal?

Thank you for your follow up.
No. It is not legally to knowingly accept counterfeit currency, furthermore, if the fake currency is used again or deposited to the bank, then such cashier could be subject to state / federal felony charges for passing counterfeit currency.
I wish you the best of luck!
