Hello,
My name is ***** ***** I am an experienced criminal lawyer.
There is something called constructive possession which would allow the state to charge all of the people in that room with the drugs if the police could not determine which one of the tenants actually owned the drugs. So, for example, if a couple checked out and the hotel then found drugs, both people could be charged with possession.
