The owner's daughter and he himself always had access to the online banking and looked at the cancelled checks every month so if they had questions why would they have not brought them up then. Like I said different people wrote petty cash checks and different people went to be bank I did some too. But our copies of the yellow checks with the petty cash receipts are missing. I had been complaining to them about working in a hostile work environment.
I was the office manager and I hardly ever handled the deposits. I did in fact do some petty cash checks when I was asked by management downstairs and one of them took months to turn in his receipts and on occasion when he took cash deposits from customers (car dealership) he would have to go to atm to get money to turn in for the payment which I gave to the office workers and it was normally them that attached the receipts. So with so many people involved I don't see how I could have been pinpointed and fired.
I understand that Virginia is at will state. My point was that multiple people had access to the banking as far as checks and balances, multiple people went to the bank, receipts were turned in late or not at all. I know no camera evidence existed. So my main question is it gonna be hard for them to prove?
