Marijuana is completely illegal under federal law, so it would be a federal crime to travel with any amount of marijuana, even if you have a valid California prescription.
Unfortunately, many people with valid state prescriptions have been caught flying with marijuana and ended up facing federal charges.

I am sorry to give you this bad news, but it is simply not worth the risk of being arrested at the airport and having to face federal drug charges.
Also, there are many ways that the airlines and airport officials are able to detect any type of drugs, even in very small amounts.
