What percentage of a sentence must be served first in Michigan

What percentage of a sentence must be served first in Michigan state prisons before being eligible for parole?
Hello Jacustomer,

According to the Michigan Department of Parole, an inmate's Earliest Release Date does not come until he has finished the minimum amount of time set by the court. So basically the judge determines how much must be served before eligibility for parole is possible. (see link)

If you have a particular inmate in mind you can find his ERD (earliest release date) here on Michigan's Offender Tracking Information System.
