Just to let you know, I have learned that there are waivers for certain circumstances, i.e., people who are not working and living on social security or disability benefits are not required to pay any fees. You are absolutely correct and if the criminal defendant can show to the cost that he/she is indigent and does not have any possible mean to pay for the electronic monitoring service, then the court can order such charges to be waived
