My goal is to provide you with excellent service today.Under CA law, long guns---unless they fall under the CA definition of assault weapon---AK 47's, AR 15's M-4's etc., don't fall within the provisions of California Penal Code section 12025, and need not be locked while being transported. They simply need to be unloaded.Here is a memo from the CA Attorney General's Office on this matter:
