My husband got a second dui and is terrified of going to jail. He is talking about suicide rather than go. He is most afraid of being beaten up because he has a very bad snoring issue. Is there any way to reassure him at all.

HiI am sorry to hear of this situation. When was he last convicted of the first one?

HiUnfortunately, as I am sure you are aware the penalities for the DUI are mandatory under AZ law. A second offense DUI, with a reading of less than .15, has a 30 day minimum jail sentence. If the reading is between .15 and .20 it's 120 days in jail or if a reading of over .20 is 180 days in jail. Please note that if you need more information, you can use the Reply to Expert.
