A class C misdemeanor can exclude you from a CCW permit if:

1) it was classified as a violent misdemeanor

J.Hazelbaker :

2) it is your second dwi or controlled substance misdemeanor within the last 5 years;

3) it was a weapons related misdemeanor

As long as the charge/conviction was not within any of the three categories involved, then the misdemeanor would not exclude you from a CCW.
