My 20 year old daughter did not qualify for a court appointed attorney.

It all depends on the County that it's going on in - some Counties allow a PD to represent defendants privately - others do not. So it all depends on the County where the action is pending.

So you can contact the PD office and directly ask them if PDs are allowed to represent private clients.


If you can - then I would go with a PD because they are usually very experienced with the judges and DAs.
