Resolved Question:

7 years ago I had a illegal immigration fraud offense and served a two year probation. How long do probations stay under my my records? When filling out an application in the State of Virginia, are the records still shown as a criminal offense?

Hello Jacustomer,

Your criminal record stays with you and will follow you all of your life, unless you are able to have the matter expunged from your record. If your crime was a Federal offense, it is not expungeable at all.

From what I see, the typical criminal background check in Virginia goes back only 7 years, however your entire criminal record would be accessible if they wish it. So yes, you can expect it to turn up.
