Welcome to JustAnswer and thank you for the opportunity to assist you. Please remember that there might be a delay between your follow up questions and my answers because I may be helping other clients or taking a break.
If this happens, the police may:
1) Call you into the station for an interview. If this happens, do not go without an attorney
, and your attorney may advise you not to cooperate anyways. The police would only wish to talk to you so that they can get you to say/admit something that can be used against you. They would arrest you if they had enough evidence.
2) If they do feel that they have enough evidence to warrant an arrest, they will, and then the DA would pick up the charges and you would be charged in front of the Court
. Most non-violent
and even some violent crimes will permit bail to be set so you could bond out while the matter is pending with the court.
