did the good time law for federal prisoners pass or fail?
Optional Information: State/Country relating to Question: Washington Already Tried: asked around but no one knows for sure. My daughter is a federal prisoner. I would like to know.
The law in federal prison is that the inmate may get their get up to 15% of their sentence off for good time. This means that if a person behaves appropriately and follows the rules, they will serve, at a minimum, 85% of their sentence. This law has not changed and there is no laws before Congress to change it.
I hope that answers your question. If so, please click the "Accept" button (that's how I get credit for my work). Good luck to you and your daughter.
