thank you for that information

 

if the assault is a domestic violence matter, then yes. you will lose your right to have firearms, under federal law - regardless of the state law; whether it is a misdemeanor of a felony

 

if it is a felony, then you would not be able to have a firearm under state and federal law

 

i dont know if you would be fired or not. depends on what the employer's policy is on convictions of crimes. they can terminate you for convictions. but that is policy, not law
