Customer Question

I received a Summons from a collection company for a medical bill. I never received any statements from this collection company before. I called and they marked the account AS DISPUTED but said that court date still stands, I believe they are in violation of FCRA and possibly other laws. I need to know if they are in violation by their actions and if so what have they violated

You can answer and deny the claims. You an raise the FCRA as well as the fair debt collection practices act, in failing to validate the debt or provide timely statements and invoices.

what did this collection company violate by not sending me statements and having me served with a summons
Expert:  Infolawyer replied 14 days ago.

Failure to meet pre requisite to suing, namely making due demand, and failure to validate the debt.

Is that clear and acceptable?
