In 2013 midland funding LLC, received a judgment in court

Customer Question

In 2013 midland funding LLC, received a judgment in court against me and has now put a lien on my home. I was never served papers, I just found out about this when I tried to refinance. Here is the problem, the debt in question was my sons and was included in his bankruptcy in 2008/2009. Please let me know if anything can be done.

Thank you for using JustAnswer.

I'm sorry to hear about your situation. When you say it was your sons, was it completely your sons, or did you co-sign, guarantee, etc... it? If you didn't cosign or guarantee it, why did they place the lien on your property? Was it because of similar names?
