Customer Question

I made a purchase from Best Buy then went out of town. Upon returning, I discovered that I had no need for some of the purchased product and one of the items was not operatable. I returned the product within 17 days, two days beyond their 15 day return policy. They would not refund my Best Buy card and issued me a Best Buy store credit. Now I am being forced to shop at Best Buy and pay for merchandise that I do not have in my posession, plus pay interest on the item as well. Is it legal for them to refuse to refund my monies to my card and force me to pay for something that I do not have in my possesion?
