I received a written Summon for visitation in the state of Maryland I have 30 days to respond but I am not sure how to respond ? For I have never had to deal with this before how and where do respond to a written Summon?

You should have had a complaint for visitation attached to the summons, not just the summons.
You need to follow the same format as the complaint for visitation and you need to answer each thing stated in the complaint and here is the form to answer and file with the clerk of court in the court where the complaint was issued. See: http://www.courts.state.md.us/family/forms/dr50.pdf
You need to file a copy with the clerk's office and you need to send a copy of your answer to the other party or their attorney.
