If I have a protective order on a person and we both are members

Customer Question

If I have a protective order on a person and we both are members of an American legion and I put the legion down for places the other person can't go and the other person is a legionnaire does that person over ride the protective order for that post

Thank you for your question. Please permit me to assist you with your concerns.
No, that does not override the protective order. Ultimately all private organizations, be it the American Legion, the 4-H Club, or the Masons must honor US law and court orders. So if you stated that he cannot be there AND the judge agrees and signs the order, he cannot be there when you are there. You must inform whomever is your president (or whatever equivalent title you use) and request that the honor the order, or they themselves can be held in contempt if they fail to do so.
Sincerely,
Dimitry, Esq.
