Consumer Protection Law
Consumer Protection Law Questions? Ask a Lawyer Now.
Hello and thank you for the question.
You have a right to recover those damages incurred
your basis for a claim is their breach of contract and misrepresentation
if the statements were false and intentionally so, the claim is also one of fraud
which may be pursued by threat and complaint to the company, the BBB and civil court
and if you paid them by credit card, also contesting the payment
Is that clear?
How do I start to proceed. Should I write them a letter or contact a lawyer?
I would write them first
see if you can reach a comromise saving on the legal fees
if that fails, then have a consumer protection lawyer reach out
martindale.com is a good resource for it
and consumer counsel should work on commission fee basis
Best of luck!!
